Free School Meals

If you are in receipt of benefits your child could be entitled to a Free School Meal. A Free School Meal is comprised of a hot dinner, a pudding and table water which is available every lunchtime. Please note that the snacks we have on offer at our various tuck shops are not included as part of the Free School Meal. A proper school meal provides a healthy and nutritious dinner which studies have shown improves levels of concentration in the classroom.

In addition to their Free School Meal, if you wish your child to purchase anything from one of the tuck shops at either breaktime or lunchtime, they will need to have working Parent Pay account with money on it. For further information about setting up a Parent Pay account, please email info@icknield.beds.sch.uk or get your child to speak to Mr O’Donnell in the network office.

Free School Meal funding is provided directly to schools from the government. Luton Borough Council is responsible for processing Free School Meal requests and the school cannot do this directly. For more information about Free School Meals and/or to check your eligibility, please visit the Luton Borough Council website:
