Icknield High School is a highly successful 11-16 mixed Academy with an excellent reputation, situated in pleasant grounds on the northern outskirts of town. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and passionate specialist to lead our highly effective Maths department. This is a tremendous opportunity to lead a high performing team of specialist teachers who consistently achieve outstanding outcomes for our students.

We are extremely proud of the outcomes in Mathematics. This year 76% of our students achieved a grade 4 or above, 57% achieved a grade 5 or above and 26% achieved a grade 7 or above resulting in a progress score of +0.81.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Up to date knowledge about the recent changes to curriculum design.
  • An outstanding track record within your current department.
  • Experience of developing and holding staff accountable.

We work hard to ensure we reduce workload on staff, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of students first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.
