Current Teaching Staff Vacancies

COVER SUPERVISOR

Required as soon as possible

We are currently seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor.

The successful applicant will work under the guidance of teaching staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement work programmes in or out of the classroom. They will be expected to use effective classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.

Some experience/evidence of previously working with children is essential along with a commitment to the ethos of the School and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. Previous cover supervision experience, whilst desirable, is not essential as training will be given.

This post is being offered on a 1 Year Fixed Term Contract in the first instance, and the hours will be 35 per week term time, plus five training days.

Salary starts from £19,430 pro rata, per annum depending on experience, (L4 pt. 20-23).

Current Support Staff Vacancies

 

Learning Support Assistants

Required as soon as possible

The role of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is a pivotal position within the Special Educational Need and Disability (SEND) department and across the whole school.

Learning Support Assistants work mainly in classrooms supporting students aged 11 to 16 years. You will be expected to work closely with the class teacher and contribute to effective classroom practice with individuals and/or groups of students. LSA’s are expected to develop expertise to differentiate work for students and promote classroom inclusion

Hours for these roles will range from 30 to 34 per week term time only, plus training days as required.

Salary starts from £17,419 pro rata, per annum.

Educational Communicators

Required as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint Educational Communicators to work within our
dedicated Hearing Impaired Department.

The successful applicants will be part of a team of Educational Communicators who support the inclusion of our hearing-impaired (HI) students within school. The role involves working with HI students in mainstream and one-to-one lessons to access academic curriculum, social and extra-curricular activities.

British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 is an essential requirement; BSL2 and the experience of working with hearing impaired students are desirable but not essential criteria.

Hours for these roles will range from 19 to 24 per week term time only, plus training days as required.

Salary starts from £17,419 pro rata, per annum.

Actual salary to be confirmed, depending upon agreed working hours.

Applicants for the above positions will be expected to have a good standard of education and be willing to take part in relevant training provided in school as required.
