Icknield High School is a highly successful 11-16 mixed Academy with an excellent reputation, situated in pleasant grounds on the northern outskirts of town. Current Support Staff Vacancies

Learning Support Assistants

Required as soon as possible

The role of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is a pivotal position within the Special Educational Need and Disability (SEND) department and across the whole school.

Learning Support Assistants work mainly in classrooms supporting students aged 11 to 16 years.  You will be expected to work closely with the class teacher and contribute to effective classroom practice with individuals and/or groups of students. LSA’s are expected to develop expertise to differentiate work for students and promote classroom inclusion

The hours are 30, plus one week.  Salary £12,795.82 actual

Part time Educational Communicator

 Required as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint an Educational Communicator to work within our Hearing Impaired Department.

The successful applicants will be part of a team of Educational Communicators who support the inclusion of our hearing-impaired (HI) students within school.

British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 is an essential requirement. The hours are 22 per week term time only, plus one week.  Salary £9,154 actual

Applicants for the above positions will be expected to have a good standard of education and be willing to take part in relevant training provided in school as required.
