Icknield High School is a highly successful 11-16 mixed Academy with an excellent reputation, situated in pleasant grounds on the northern outskirts of town. We pride ourselves on our excellent GCSE results and offering an enriching educational experience to all of our students. Current Support Staff Vacancies

Assistant Senior Cook

35 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks
Salary L3 £15.296 actual

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic full-time cook for our busy kitchen/cafeteria where we serve quality fast food.  The kitchen is staffed by the Senior Cook and 8 kitchen assistants.
Approximately 900 meals are served every lunch time, plus we operate a busy break time service

He/she should:

  • have experience in large scale catering;
  • be able to work as part of a team;
  • hold the basic food and hygiene certificate or equivalent;
  • be able to communicate with children.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. A minimum 2-3 year experience in similar environments would be considered an asset but full training will be given.
