Icknield Presents Fashion Show 2016

On Thursday 20th October, Icknield’s students showcased their talent as future Fashion Designers at Fash Off 2016. The well attended evening saw students from Year 7 through to Year 11 modelling their own designs and creations on the catwalk. The garments on show had been created over the last two years by all Art subjects and included collections inspired by Baroque, Native America, Mandala patterns and Year 11 GCSE exam work.

Year 11 GCSE Textiles student Jaleesa, took to the stage as a presenter for the evening and shares her experience of the exciting event. “Fash Off 2016 was amazing! I helped lead the backstage crew with Misbah, it was such a great experience. The Models looked stunning and the whole event went off without a hitch. Thank you to all of the Art staff for putting it together”.

Following the Fashion Show, Head of Textiles Mr Mann said: “Brilliant, Fantastic and Professional are just some of the words used to describe the evening by Students and Parents. The show was a celebration of the passion, effort and creative talents of both the Students and Teachers at Icknield. A special thanks to all of the Art Department and everyone who helped make the night such a success”.
